My child WAS not motivated 8 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 2
Ryan was having issues getting motivated in school. With persistance and "tough love" he has come from failing in spelling to getting all "A's".

His class goes on field trips often, If he is irresponsible and forgets to bring his homework home or turn it in, he doesn't get to go. If I promise him a movie (to watch) it also helps.

Taking physical things away works for his behavior at home (not an issue at school) but for school taking away his "playtime/funtime" with classmates is devistating to him.

Morgan on the otherhand, Runs in the door, grabs her bookbag and gets on her homework right away, I don't ever have to ask or help, she does it all on her own.......................

I have been dealing with the same problem with my daughter she is in 4th grade and is very unorganized and also forgets to turn in homework. I am not sure what to do about it I try to show her how to organize her things but it never seems to work I have also tried grounding and taking things away from her and that does not work either if you seem to find a way that works please share and i will be more than happy to do the same.

Thanks- Ryan has been having homework issues. He's in 2nd grade and has homework every night. The teacher and I spoke and she said that Ryan has been doing much better in school. He can count to 10 in Latin and he can do the math in Latin verbally. But the whole homework issue He's grounded from the tv for 2 weeks as of now.
