My best gift was when my twin sons were about 4 years old and made a Valentine Day card for me. They colored it with red crayons and put lots of hearts and x's and o's on it. It was the best gift I ever received.

The most thoughtful gift was when my husband, who was my boyfriend at the time made me a tiramisu cake from scratch. He knew it was my favorite and went to all that trouble to make me one. It was great.

My hubby and I met when we were in college and a bit broke so we didn't have much money to spare on Valentine's Day. He knows I love strawberries so he made me chocolate covered strawberries from scratch and rented a chick flick for us to watch together....so simple but so sweet!

It may sound corney but the best Valentine's Day gift I ever got was a card that my husband made totally from scratch. I still have it to this day.

For my best friend, I gave her a bunch of little things that she had seen in passing that she liked or wished she could have...she loved it!

The most thoughtful gift came from my dad. I was just married and my husband had to go on deployment to Iraq. I moved back to my hometown so I wouldn't live alone in a new town. I moved in with my dad. On valentines we both went to work. When I came home he had gotten me this really pretty ruby ring. One that I had been eyeing for a while. He also asked if he could take me to dinner. He felt so bad that I was alone on valentines. But I wasn't alone because I had my dad. It was really sweet. I still have the ring and plan to give it to my daughter some day. Maybe I'll give it to her on valentines.

It would have been so long ago I cant even remember, as we don't really celebrate Valentines Day, sad but true. Material things aren't always the best gifts, but cards mean so much, especially when they come from the heart.

The Day My Husband Came Home From Overseas. It was a Day ill never Remember.

Last year my husband and my girls got me a spa day, but the best part was the homemade card that the girls made on their own. Money couldnt buy the joy I got from their faces seeing me open their card they made :-)

sent me the little flowers and gifts my mom would on our birthdays and holidays
it made me cry every time i got one but theses were good tears to know he was there with me even though he was on the road

My now-husband sent roses to my office so that everyone would know...not an original gift, but I'd never received flowers before, let alone in public!

My husband got me real roses. This is a huge thing for him because he thinks live flowers are a waste of money so he has bought me flowers twice in the 6 years we've been together. He also got one of those huge cards and had all my kids leave a little message in it. It was one of the best Valentine's Days ever!

wow, i dont think i can remember....i have never been one for valentine's day....i guess it would be when i was back in college and my boyfriend took me to a really nice restaurant, gave me flowers, we went to what was called the sweetheart dance at his fraternity. i took my new puppy that he had given me and since i would not wear his pin, my little doggy wore it and got pinned. we had to get special permission from the restaurant to bring her in....

My husband gave me the complete Muppet Show DVD collection. It was so sweet and I loved it more than chocolates or flowers :)

The best Valentine's gift I received was a few years ago when my boyfriend surprised me with a bouquet of sunflowers. They are my favorite flower and really made my day.

My husband knows I love pedicures, but don't treat myself very often. I guess I feel that it is an extravagance, and I should be spending my time and money on my children. I love to recieive gift certificates from the local nail salon for Valentine's Day.

The most thoughtful Valentine's day gift I ever received was when my oldest son showed up where I work with a HUGE flower arrangement and candy. He also brought a card that told me how much he appreciated me being his mom.

I made a collauge of pictures throughout the years of me, my mom & my brother then wrapped it up & presented it to her a few years back on Vday!

When my sisters and I got chocolates, and flowers for my mom, and took her out for the night since my dad was working. It was also her anniversary so we really wanted to make her feel special on that day.

I ALWAYS THINK OF MY MOM SINCE SHE IS ON HER OWN NOW AND SEND HER A DIFFERENT KIND OF FLOWER ARRANGEMENT EVERY YEAR WITH SOME CHOCOLATE TO LET HER KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE HER FOR BEING THERE FOR ME.

I ALWAYS GIVE MY HUSBAND SOMETHING DIFFERENT BECAUSE HE IS A THOUGHTFUL AND HELPFUL FATHER TO OUR CHILDREN. I LIKE FINDING GREAT CARDS AND MAYBE EVEN A NIGHT OUT FOR JUST THE TWO OF US.
