Last year, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. She was secheduled for surgery on Valentine's day. One week before her surgery, the doctor told her that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, and that he was not sure that they would be able to remove it all and it may continue to spread. With compleat dread and terror, I took my mother to the hospital, last valentine's day, for her surgery. I waited in the waiting room for over 5 hours. When the doctor emerged from the operating room, I nearly pounced on him!!! He was pleased to tell me that he was, in fact, able to remove ALL of my mother's cancer and that she had come through the surgery like a trooper!!!! This will always be my best valentines day memory!!! My mom and I will celebrate this year together!!!

Valentine's day is usually

Valentine's day is usually during a busy time at work. One year my husband surprised me by showing up with two different bouquets of flowers. He said he couldn't decide which one was his favorite. It was sweet.

John and Liz, from the first

John and Liz, from the first time they saw each other (ON VALENTINE'S DAY), knew they wanted to be together. Liz was at a Mexican restaurant with a friend, enjoying a drink. Then, she saw a handsome boy smiling at her. Liz was Lovestruck.

Then, Liz took a huge risk, got out her lipstick and put her phone number on a napkin. And John took a huge risk and asked her out. Liz was lucky he called; on their first date, they couldn’t stop talking.

But the best part was after then date when John called Liz. He wanted to make sure she got home safely. And the sweetest part was when he said, “Liz, I just want to let you know I can’t stop thinking about you.” John was Lovestruck. And Liz was lucky. And Lovestruck too.

John and Liz are meant for each other because they feel it in their hearts and know it in their minds. There is something about the way they look at each other, they way they touch and the way they talk that radiates real love—it radiates being Lovestruck.

They are meant for each because they are Lucky and Lovestruck—and because they are attracted to each other in the deepest and truest sense. Anyone who sees us will see, “Look at how Lucky and Lovestruck they are!”

I shattered my ankle when I was 10 and had 4 years of reconstructive surgery. My dad was in the military & was deployed often. LAst year's V-day because my then 4yr old daughter made me a card and went with Daddy to buy me flowers and chocolates. She also gave me one of her dress up rings and told me it was a diamond. She saw too many jewelry commercials I think. But it was the sweetest one I've had yet.

My best Valentine's Day would

My best Valentine's Day would be the very first one my boyfriend and I spent together 11 years ago. I was manager at a local pizza shop and we worked together which was awesome and we kept it very professional at work. He's a very nice guy and such a romantic. So, it's Valentine's Day and I'm working as usual but feeling pretty good about the day. This guy walks in and asks for Monica Y. I imply yeppers that's me he said okay, I'll be right back. I was kinda puzzled but went back to work. Ten minutes later the same guy walks in with a huge polar bear, and when I say huge I mean HUGE. This was the biggest polar bear stuffed animal I had ever seen! He also has a card with a dozen roses and they were for me. My boyfriend had decided to surprise me at work by having my gifts delivered and I was so flattered and a little embarrassed since my employees were yelling and clapping and whistling in excitement. I still have the huge polar bear and Dustin and I are still together. May makes our 11th year anniversary. I'm hoping he'll pop the question someday as I wait with anticipation of when he will surprise me with the big question?

On our first married

On our first married Valentine's day, my husband made me a homemade card that said I could pick out a kitten. This was especially sweet since he doesn't like animals.

I have two favorite

I have two favorite Valentine's Day's! Feb 14, 2003 is the day my husband proposed to me. My husband had been making payments on my ring for several months and finally paid it off by February. I was almost two months pregnant and I started bleeding so I was in bed. He wanted to make that Valentine's Day special, but it was hard because of the fact I was in bed, scared something was wrong with my pregnancy. My husband went and got me lunch, chocolates, and then he got down on one knee and officially proposed. It was so sweet! Then fast forward to Feb 14, 2009, we went out of town with our then 5 year old little boy, we did some shopping and then stopped for dinner. While we were waiting for our food, we finally told our son that he was having a little brother or sister. I was almost 4 months pregnant. We waited to tell him once we were past the 1st Trimester, because if anything happened - we did not even want to imagine trying to explain it to him. My son was excited and it made my heart melt!

Best Valentine's day ever was

My best Valentines was when

My best Valentines was when my son was young and I would make him a homemade Valentines card and give him candy.

My best Valentine's Day was

My best Valentine's Day was the first one after I was married. I had planned to surprise my wife with a romantic dinner cruise that night. When i woke up that morning, my wife had place little love notes to me all over the house. In my socks drawer, on the mirror, in the fridge, in my car, etc.

She not only took the time to place all these notes, but made each one unique and special.

That is why I'd like to win this contest to surprise her with matching Samsung Focus Windows Phones!

Best Valentine's Day was when

Best Valentine's Day was when I was still dating hubby, we were in two different states and he sent me a mondo flower arrangement and chocolates. He called that night and we talked for a long time. It is the small gestures that mean so much.

My best Valentine's Day story

My best Valentine's Day story is yet to come. We don't really celebrate, and I do agree that it has become too commercialized as many of our other holidays have.

Mine is short, but very cute, well I think so :D My lil girl (age 7 now) was 3 at the time and wanted to make herself the "gift" for me for Valentine's day...I get back from the store to find her covered in RED marker, head to toe, and saying she was my "q-tip" later we learned she meant "Cupid" We had a great Mama & Baby Bubble bath after that!! Oh and hubby walked in on her half way thru and decided to let her finish...In his words "i had to let you see that" :D i love my family

My best valentines so far is

My best valentines so far is this one :-) its our first married valentines day and planning is so much fun! We've looked a Vegas and restaurants and spa getaways but my husband decided to make me a romantic dinner at home and save the extravegance for our 1st anniversary...in 4 weeks :-)

My favorite Valentines Day is

My favorite Valentines Day is when my son (2) at the time me picked flowers (weeds) from outside and gave them to me and said I Lub you Mommy. He is now 12 and I still have them in an album.

my best Valentine's Day

my best Valentine's Day memories is when i was a kid and my dad always got everyone a box of candy so no one would feel left out i miss him alot.

My best Valentines Day memory

My best Valentines Day memory was two years ago when my husband and I were snowed in. We spent a great day together by the fire snuggling and watching movies. He made me dinner and then got down on his knees and proposed to me. It was very emotional and is a very happy memory.

First, my husband and I met

First, my husband and I met at a Valentine's Day Party, but our first Valentine's Day married was a bit rough (we laugh about it now, but it took a few years). We take turns each year on who is in charge of Valentine's Day. Our first year was my turn. We were really tight financially and so we had less than a $5 budget and rarely splurged for sweets. I was at the store and got a bag of candy and a few King Size candy bars to do something fun with - all deep discount/final sale and was very excited about my find. When I saw my husband later that day, somehow the conversation of his favorite candy bar came up and I said, "Oh, you like Butterfingers, right?" To which he surprisingly responded, "Ugh, no. That has to be my least favorite. I really like..." I busted out into tears because for some reason all the chocolate/candy I had splurged on for Valentine's Day had some sort of Butterfinger variation and we did not have the money for me to buy anything else. My new husband stood there baffled, not sure what to do. It was a few days later when he realized his mistake. lol!

To add to that, I ended up getting called into work on Valentine's and so to make it up to me he made me lunch and being silly stuck a few pieces of chocolate candy into my pb&j sandwich. Work ended up providing the staff with lunch and so I my bottomless pit teenage co-worker asked if he could have my sandwich. His face while eating my sandwich was priceless and my face when I realized what my hubby had added to it was probably even better. We had all had a good laugh and I think it meant more to us than most of the other's because we were really trying to make it special without spending and that required a lot of thought!

Sorry, longer story than most...but it is the Valentine's I remember the most!

A few years ago on valentines

A few years ago on valentines day, my parents renewed their wedding vows after 40 years of being married. That day was so special and sweet. I hope my husband and I am that lucky.

The best date was when we

The best date was when we were sitting in the in restaurant and after the dinner my Husband had set the date for our wedding then when we got home he asked my Dad if it was alright to get married to me , Yes an unforgettable night :)

My best valentines day ever

My best valentines day ever was the first one that we were Husband and wife. We got married by Justice of the Peace, we were young and broke. I had gotten a 200 dollar walmart ring to get married with until on valentimes day he suprised me witth a 1.5 total diamond weight ring..
I was in heaven and loved it

My best Valentine's Day was

My best Valentine's Day was right after my daughter was born. She was a month old and my family was complete, everything was perfect. She went on our date with us, we dressed her up, went to get her first pictures taken. I'll remember that day forever.

My best Valentines Day was

My best Valentines Day was waking up to my 1 year old giving me a heart pancake in bed! she had "colored" a picture and it was just beautiful for me!

The most memorable Valentines

The most memorable Valentines Day would be when my husband took me to our friends farm and introduced me to my horse Skip. I have always loved horses and it was beyond surprising. Of course we no longer have him but he has made a family very happy. I have been with my husband for 7 years now and every day that I spend with him is a day I will cherish regardless of the holiday.

One of my best Valentines Day

One of my best Valentines Day memories was when I surprised by my guy who took me on a trip to NYC and surprised me with dinner and a broadway show. Definitely wasn't expecting it, and I thought it was sweet that he made the effort to make it extra special. Thanks, we'd love to win! :)

my best valentine's day was

my best valentine's day was the day my husband proposed to me. I came home from work and he had roses, flowers, wine and a ring. we were dirt poor but we had each other and it was amazing.

We avoid Valentine's day,

We avoid Valentine's day, it's too comercialized! And it saves money we don't have!

Valentines has never been

Valentines has never been that big of a day for my husband and I. We dont do anything over the top we just try to slow down and appreciate eachother. Usually we will go out for dinner or to a movie or even order in and watch a movie at home. The biggest thing is that we tune into eachother not the word around us

My best Valentine's Day was

My best Valentine's Day was totally spontaneous! We had taken our children to an amusement park the previous day. We were in close to lake Erie and we stopped at Port Clinton. There was a lighthouse there that we wanted to explore. We never made it to the lighthouse. The kids were climbing the rocks that were there. Than we started climbing them too. My husband reached and held my hand helping me over the one particularly tough rock and looked into my eyes and I never felt more love for someone in that moment. It was a special moment that has helped me through the hard times many times.

My bf and I like to steer

My bf and I like to steer clear of the rush of people that go out on Valentine's day. So instead we packed a picnic basket full of goodies (of course chocolate strawberries) and enjoyed the day at the beach. Then we went home for some...*cough cough* dessert. :)

my favorite valentines day

my favorite valentines day was a few years ago when my husband surprised me by coming home early from a trip away to spend Valentines day with me.

My husband and I shared our

My husband and I shared our first kiss a little after midnight, so it was actually 2/15/08... but it was a great Valentines Day to remember! He had just returned from his deployment to Afghanistan. We were married a little less than 6 months later.

We don't go out on

We don't go out on Valentine's Day, and I told my husband to avoid flowers on that day (due to overpriced). So, we go out for a nice dinner a weekend before or after. I prefer surprise flowers other non-holiday days. We have an annual weekend away every spring, and that is a very much looked forward to event. I love keeping the dating alive in our marriage!

Thanks for the giveaway!!

My DH is not a romantic .

My DH is not a romantic . Usually I don't get anything on Valentine's Day. :( So sad about it :(

I think my most memorable was

I think my most memorable was when my daughter was 3, and her older sister told her what Valentines Day was, so she went in her room and attempted to draw hearts all over her wall with not only crayons but markers that dont wash off, when i found it, I asked "what is this?" and she said "it's my balentime...Im your love bug" I couldnt help but laugh it was to cute, and I never did get the marker off the wall;p
