"Just Called to Say I Love You" Windows Phone giveaway

We don't celebrate Valentine's day on Feb 14th since everything is too crowded & over-priced. So sometime in the Spring, I will get flowers delivered with a card that says Happy Valentine's! It is always a surprise & means more since it is when my husband wants to tell me he loves me with flowers (and costs a LOT less:-) )

Best Valentine's Day story would have to be last year in 2011 when our youngest son was born a few weeks prior to Valentine's Day. We celebrated our Valentine's Day with our new family of 5 :)

Valentines day was our first child's due date, even though she came a little earlier than we expected it was great thinking about our child being due on the day that love is celebrated!

best was when my husband surprised me with a couple nights at a beautiful B&B. we went out for a supper and he had them place a dozen roses at our table when we arrived

my best valentine's ever, was when i was living in n. va. this younger single guy lived above me in my condo. he was so cute and good looking as well as funny and nice. i was single as well. he asked me out for valentine's and did everything perfectly. he brought me very expensive red roses, had made dinner reservations at a very nice restaurant in old towne alexandria. we had a very good time. too bad he was so much younger than i because we did not have that much in common. but it was a wonderful evening.

My best Valentine story is when my husband proposed to me. We were already living together and I was NOT expecting a proposal AT ALL. He gave me flowers, candy and then a "fake" ring. He had searched for the perfect ring, but ultimately decided that I should pick out the ring myself. So, he bought a piece of costume jewelry for the proposal and then we took a trip to NYC to pick out the ring together!

My favorite valentine story is the day I met the love of my life. It was February 14th, 2002. I went to a party at my brothers house, just looking to try and survive another Valentines Day.....little did I know I would meet the most wonderful ,kind ,loving person I have ever met. It took me over twenty years to learn what kind of person I needed in my life. I went through a lot of frogs, believe me.
All we did that night was talk, and kind of band together in our loneliness I guess. I was not thinking about him in a romantic way. My meddling sister-in-law thankfully gave him my cell number, and we met for coffee a few days later. The rest is kind of history, but that is a longer tale.
We have been together for eight years now, and he has been my best friend, my love, and such a mentor to my son. He has been more of a father to my son than his own father ever was.

My best Valentines Day was when my son brought home a special craft from preschool. He had made most of it himself. He didn't like to do crafts very much, so it was very special that he felt motivated to make me a gift!

My best story is being rushed to the hospital to give birth to our second son. We were so excited to have a Valentines Day Baby. It is so appropriate since my husband and I struggled with infertility for so long that he was actually conceived naturally. He was and it an eternal blessing.

When my then-boyfriend and I had been dating for only a year, I decided to hire a barbershop quartet to visit him and serenade him at work. I was worried that he would freak out or be embarrassed, but he was actually really flattered. I was right--I he was "the one"!

My best Valentine's Day was a few years ago when my best friends surprised me with flowers. I was single at the time, so they showed that the day isn't just for couples and made me feel loved.

My best Valentine's Day was when I was in college. My husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) lived in another state. Because of this, our only Valentine's Day plans were to speak to each other on the telephone. Well, imagine my surprise when I returned to my dorm after classes and I found a note taped to my door. It was from my boyfriend, informing me that he was in town. I called the phone number that he had written on the note and he came right over. My lovestruck guy had driven 8-1/2 hours to be with me. I couldn't believe it. We went on to have a wonderful evening, and at 1 AM, he got back in his car and drove home because he had to be at work the next day. What a sentimental fool he was (and still is).

Being a single mom working part-time and going to school full time, my son showed up at school with a great Valentine's Day treat and a chance to do a little portrait session for us!
I don't always get to celebrate Valentine's Day unless it's me doing for others'(which I love)but it was nice having something done for me:)

My spouse surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas to wine, dine, and see the shows.

My most memorable Valentine's Day was a coming home from work to a home cooked dinner, candles, a hot bubble bath, roses and a full body massage :)

My best Valentines story is when my husband went and booked a trip away for Valentines day when we were going through tremendously stressful issues that I shall spare you the details of. He was never one to go ahead and book something like this on his own but obviously he felt it would help. It did! It allowed us to relax and gain perspective on what we were dealing with at home. Sometimes when you are wrapped up in the situation it is hard to see the light. We left, relaxed returned and dealt with the problem.

I would love to win this for my hubby and I. One of our best Valentine's Day memories was when we went to a Neil Diamond concent. My husband is a huge fan and I surprised him with the tickets. They were floor seats and it was a perfect evening. My husbands birthday is the 15th of February, so we celebrated both events that night:)

I love Valentine's Day because it's the best time to have a special dinner and just enjoy each others presence without worrying about anything else.

I will never forget taking my 10 year old son to Kmart to get his first girlfriend a valentine gift. He bought her a small box of candy and a card that he took forever to pick out. We went to the checkout and the cashier rang up his order and when the cashier said the total was $10 he said $10!!! He only had $5 and I looked at what he bought and the card was $6.95. I didn't have much money but how could I not give him the rest to pay for the card when he had spent so much time picking out the perfect card!

My high school boyfriend surprised me at school. He said he needed to get a book out of his trunk and asked if I would go with him. I did and when he opened his trunk, he had a dozen red roses in a cooler with a handwritten note for me!! Best Valentine's surprise ever!!!

My best valentine's Day was the first Valentine's Day that I got to spend with both of my children together. My my youngest will only have had his second this coming one & Big sister is SOOOOOO Excited :) But then again so are mommy and daddy. We are going to make decorations, bake and the list goes on! :)

My Best Valentine's Day was when my husband and I exchanged chocolate & sweethearts cards and watched a movie at home in front of our fireplace. So romantic. :)

The best would be when he came home from Iraq the day before Valentine's last year! Won't be so lucky this year. Now he's in Afghanistan =(

The best Valentine's day was 2010 when my daughter to be decided not to arrive on her due date, Valentine's day. She arrived a few days later - healthy and beautiful. I was glad to have Valentine's day with my husband and that my daughter would not forever have to share her birthday with a holiday.

My birthday is Feb 15th and last year my Hubby surprised me with a birthday party after not getting me ANYTHING for VDay!! He def made up for it!

My favorite Valentine's Day was the year I received flowers at work the week before Valentine's Day with this note "I couldn't wait until Valentine's Day to say I Love You." It was more of a surprise to get them early and such a great way of telling me he loved me.

First one was when I was like 14 and got a rose. Very romantic gesture from a guy who loved from far away. lol

My best valentine's ever was when I was engaged to my husband to be. I was away at college, living in an apartment I shared with my girlfriend, her fiance and another male friend from home (his fiance was also from home) I went to college 4 1/2 hours away from home. I was feeling lonely the week before Valentine's Day, it was my senior year, Valentine's Day fell on a weekend and the college and bars in town were throwing all kinds of Valentine's Day parties(the drinking age was 18 back then). I knew I was staying home all weekend, I didn't want to be going out to all these parties with my fiance at home and all the couples going to the parties and bashes making me feel worse. My fiance and I were on a budget with phone calls etc, but I figured he'd probably call me on Valentines Day as a surprise. Saturday rolls around and for some reason I cleaned the apartment and showered and was looking halfway decent, there was a knock on the door and someone standing there with a big bouquet of roses. I was hoping beyond hope they were for me and as I opened the door the roses moved down and there was my honey smiling the world's biggest smile! Not only did he come up to see me but he brought my roommate's fiance also! It was my most memorable Valentine's Day ever! We got married the next year and this April we will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.

Our best Valentine's Day in recent past was more of a family celebration. It was still super cold and snowy, but we took the kids to stay in a cabin out in the middle of nowhere. We had lots of fun keeping warm by the woodstove and playing board games.
