I really don't remember giving my older two kids the meat from jars. Did any of you? If so, when did you start?

I tried to give Lauren the chicken and rice mix once when she was probably 9 or 10 months old and she didn't like it so I never tried again. Still to this day she isn't a big meat eater. She will eat chicken if it's fried and hot dogs, but that is about it.

At 6 months I started Owen on fruits, then once he went through all the fruit we added veggies, then when he had all the veggies I added the meat. So he was about 7 months old, I would mix 1/2 a jar of meat with 1 jar stage 1 veggie & I would heat it up just a bit. He really liked it. Then when he was about 8/9 months I gave him the stage 2 jars of dinners, like chicken & squash etc. I did the same thing with Ashley only she was a little older because I started food later with her.

i started meats at 6mos. i just pureed liver,chicken,beef or pork whatever we were having for dinner. i'd put it in the blender with a little formula and zip it into a smooth cream. i pureed everything we were eating, afterall these are the foods they'll be eating later on. i never relies on gerber to feed my children.
