We all love the ease of use that our portable technology devices give us. We can carry our laptops anywhere and instantly connect with anyone in the world. Likewise, our MP3 players have moved beyond simply providing us with music on the go to giving us Internet access, games, and so much more. Albeit convenient, the majority of these products just don’t offer the same quality of performance for bigger projects. For those of us who don’t own computers with top of the line built-in cameras and microphones, fuzzy video or poor sound quality can interfere when we try to connect with friends and family via web chatting. To help remedy this problem, Blue Microphones, makers of high quality audio equipment and accessories, have released the Eyeball 2.0 web camera.
After a hectic day, yoga and fitness classes offer a healthy outlet for letting go of stress.  But what do you do when worries about the cleanliness of the studio floor or a slippery yoga mat threaten to make your workout another stressful situation? Tina Goldfield identified this problem and aimed to resolve it with her line of Puretoes foot covers. Made from non-skid, anti-microbial and moisture-wicking fabric, Puretoes eliminate odor and perspiration while providing comfortable cushioning. These fashion forward footcovers also grip the floor to allow for full mobility.   Launched in March 2011 at the 83rd annual Academy Awards, Puretoes foot covers serve as the functional and fashionable addition to any yoga, Pilates, martial arts, or dance routine. The comfortable, unrestricting fit of these footcovers makes this new line ideal not only for indoor exercise classes, but also for simply lounging around the house.
In the market today, you can find a kitchen gadget for just about everything. Tools and pans have become so individualized to specific dishes that my kitchen cupboard has quickly become occupied past capacity. What happened to the simple multipurpose kitchen staples? When I heard about the Beka Panwok, I was pleasantly surprised to find a company combining instead of individualizing. Not only does designing products that serve multiple functions prove an ecologically friendly initiative, it also results in consumer convenience. The Beka Panwok integrates the traditional steeply sloped sides of a wok with the flat aluminum bottom of a frying pan. Who doesn’t love a 2 for 1 deal? Offering the healthy benefits of cooking with a wok, without the bulky size that makes it difficult to clean and store, the Panwok has made a wonderful addition to my kitchen tools family. Let me just put it this way- when the pan and wok met, it was love at first bite.

Earlier this winter, I had the privilege of attending an exclusive behind-the-scenes movie tour of Truth Be Told, the newest installment of P&G’s Family Movie Night Series. First and foremost, make sure to check out the movie, which premiers tomorrow night! Truth Be Told World Premiere Saturday, April 16 at 8pm on Fox Family Movie Night was developed by P&G with the goal of creating quality family films that are both entertaining and showcase a great message. With each new film, P&G strives to create quality, teachable moments, and entertainment that’s appropriate for the whole family.
After a long, snowy winter, I am desperate to get outside. Although the dial on the thermoter has slowly begun to creep up over 50, the rainy April weather stands to interfere with my plans of spending time outdoors in my backyard- at least until the ground has dried. Thanks to my Classic High Bogs boots, I am headed outside-- no ifs, ands, or buts about it. These 100% waterproof, comfortable boots serve as the key to my outdoor escape. Not even the damp grass and muddy ground can stand up against my secret weapon. With breathable, anti-fungal and odor-resistant Aegis anti-microbial insoles, I can walk outside confidently, navigating mud and puddles without worrying about wet, damaged, or smelly shoes. Designed to help you navigate slippery conditions, the boots feature non-slip and all-purpose traction thanks to the rubber outsoles.
What should I wear today? The tally marks of the number of times I have asked myself this question could line up and string straight across the country. Even when I have finally decided on an outfit, I am confronted with yet another problem- scarf or cardigan? I simply cannot get enough of the extra pizzazz a scarf adds, yet I love my cardigan for those chilly moments in the office. The problem is that unless I throw aside my cute purse for the bulky old tote bag, I can’t fit both. Secret Sleeves fuctions as the compromise I have been searching for. Deborah Kay Alfred created these practical fashionable accessories after a cold day at work led her to unwrap her scarf and drape it across her shoulders for a bit of extra warmth. Frustrated that the scarf would not stay in place, she sought to remedy the issue through the creation of secret pockets.
