BREAKING NEWS: Babies are cute. This may come as a shock to many of the readers here, but it’s true. They are cute whether they wearing a onesie that says “Daddy’s Little Stinker” or with squashed peas dribbling down their chin.

Here’s the thing: Halloween offers an critical chance for parents to kick up the cuteness to another notch. Here are a few costumes (with links!) that will have friends and neighbors screaming with delight!

RAWR! Wild Animals

Animals make for adorable baby costumes. Lions, tigers, and yes, bears all come in soft, plush materials that are so cute you’ll want to eat these little wild animals instead of the other way around.

BOO! Mythical Creatures

Vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures have had a resurgence in the latter part of the decade. Dress your baby this year in a fun, topical costume that declares “I’m Team (insert Handsome Actor’s Name here).”

YUM! Food

These delicious costumes have been favorites for years for infants. After seeing a baby dressed as a hot dog, pumpkin, or lobster you’ll forget all about the endless amounts of candy.

This year, go the extra mile and dress your infant up in something creative. Make it a memorable day, and take lots of pictures to embarrass him or her when they grow up.

Matthew Moretti is a Project Manager at Mom Central Consulting and could not fit into any of these costumes despite his best efforts.
