Confessing My Love of Catalogs… and Land of Nod Strapping Baskets

I have a confession to make. I am slightly obsessed with catalogs. I know, I know…who shops through catalogs any more? Well, here I am, raising my hand!  

Every night I pick a catalog or two to look through before bed. This helps me wind down because I don’t have to read too many words or process a story line -  all I have to do is look at pretty pictures.

Every few months when a new Land of Nod catalog arrives in my mailbox, I find myself heading up to bed a few minutes earlier than usual just to get a head-start looking at all of the wonderful and whimsical items! From toys to children’s decor to books and crafts—Land of Nod has the most unique and well-curated selection of children’s items I have come across.  

Land of Nod’s ingenious storage solutions top my shortlist of favorite items. Sturdy, affordable and cute enough to keep out in the open—they have baskets, bins and boxes to fit any storage dilemma.

I recently received the new Zig Zag Strapping Baskets—a set of three baskets in a very on-trend chevron pattern. After my initial ooh-ing and ahh-ing, I soon realized I had no idea where I wanted to put them. Initially, I stacked them underneath the side table in my son’s room and deemed them just right for storing for trucks and Legos. Then, I moved them to a spot on the bookshelf in my daughter’s room to house jewelry and hair bows.

And where are they now? Finally, they’ve landed in their permanent home…a very awkwardly shaped, open cubby in the kids’ bathroom that had kept me searching high and low for a storage solution since we moved into our home. Now all I have to do is wait for the next catalog to come...
