HP and Staples Team Up for a Greener Environment
HP, the world’s largest technology company, teams up with Staples, the world’s leading office supply company, to offer consumers and small businesses an easy and free way to recycle small electronics. Regardless of where the device was purchased, Staples’ locations nationwide (excluding Copy and Print Shops) accept the recyclable consumer products listed below. As part of Staples’ commitment to ongoing sustainability, the collaboration with HP now makes it possible for consumers to dispose of their electronics responsibly.
HP recently reached their 1987 goal of recycling 2 billion pounds of electronic products and supplies, and look at this new initiative as a way to continue to keep momentum upon this achievement. With over 3,300 drop-off locations in the US, HP and Staples make it simple to take advantage of this eco-friendly proposal. If there isn’t a Staples close by, HP offers free shipping through FedEx for HP consumer products with a voucher.
This recycling initiative offers a great motivation for a bit of spring-cleaning, and gives families and small businesses a responsible way to recycle small electronics.
The following electronics are accepted at Staples nationwide:
- Desktop PCs, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, external hard drives and small servers
- All computer monitors

- Mice, keyboards, modems/routers networking and PC speakers
