What is the catch, right?

Let me ask you a couple of questions. Are you running out of disk space on your computer? Do you need a way to share files with others?

If you answered yes to either of those questions, then I have a solution that you are going to love.  Microsoft has recently came out with a new storage idea. We have all heard of flash drives; well Microsoft has put their own spin on it and created the SkyDrive which is part of the Windows Live group of Microsoft.

SkyDrive is a simple tool that will allow you to easily store and share your files. All you need to do is sign up for a Windows Live account. That is the only catch :). Once you sign up for an account, you are able to access this SkyDrive anywhere. Access the files at home, at school, at the gym, or wherever you have access to the internet. Also, if you do not want certain files shared, all you have to do is password protect those files. You are the one in control of which files stay private or which files are shared with people that you select. It truly is that simple.

You know, isn't it amazing how far technology has come to allow this much free storage to us? Just think back in the day when all we had were the floppy drives that held 1.44MB in storage. I also think back to when computers were only 4 to 8GB hard drives. Now there are flash drives with that much storage! What will be the next big storage idea? I have no idea, but I do know this is an excellent deal to have 25GB of free storage. You don't have to worry about emailing large files and it creating havoc on people's email accounts. Now, you can just upload the file from your computer and then share it with all the individuals you would like from a click of the mouse button.
