70 Park, the view from Park Avenue
Influence Central was offered a media rate at the 70 Park Avenue Hotel in order to write this review. All of the views expressed are our own. In a city characterized for its business, ambition, and vibrant culture, it often proves difficult to find needed relaxation among the hustle and bustle of New York City life. A Kimpton Hotel, the 70 Park Avenue Hotel offers deluxe, cozy, and relaxing accommodations for your next weekend away from it all. Hotels in New York City often offer cramped spaces that detract from the entire idea of a vacation. Not only does The 70 Park Avenue Hotel provides larger rooms, the hotel even offers double rooms, which are extremely difficult to find in New York, especially outside of Times Square.
Atlantis Paradise Island Recognizes the Importance of Family Vacations. Let the
Disclosure: Atlantis Paradise Island is a client of Influence Central. We all know we should do it, but somehow, we don’t take summer vacation as often as we should. It’s so important to unplug, clear our minds of stress, and re-connect as a family, and what better time than when the kids are on break from school? After many years of using my hard-earned vacation days on Fridays and on school in-service planning days (more for childcare reasons than for taking a break), I recently made a conscious commitment to take at least one week every summer to get away with my family. At the time, my eldest daughter was two short years away from heading off to college, and all of a sudden time seemed so much more precious. Funny how that works!
Generations Riveria Maya: Karisma Eko Chefs
I received a complimentary press trip to the new Generations Riviera Maya hotel for the launch of the Little Eko Chefs program. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own. I just got back from Generations Riviera Maya in the Mexican Caribbean where I got to experience their new amazing culinary experience for kids: Little Eko Chefs. This newest hotel outpost in Mexico by Karisma hotels lives up to the impeccable style of Karisma beach hotels along the Mexican Riveria such as gorgeous modern rooms, each with a full on view of the ocean, lovely swimming pool and swim up bar, fantastic kids club and impeccable gourmet dining at five gorgeous on property restaurants. My visit was part of a press trip to the newly opened Generations Resorts by Karisma that highlighted the resort’s Eko Kids Club – a wonderful service offering supervised activities for children, ages 4 to 12, in an ideal huge play space – as well as its new amazing culinary learning experience for kids.
Generations Riviera Maya
I received a complimentary press trip to Generations Riviera Maya. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own. I just got back from Generations Riviera Maya in the Mexican Caribbean – the newest resort outpost by Karisma Hotels & Resorts nestled in the midst of the breathtaking Riviera Maya. Generations offers up a luxurious all-inclusive beachfront resort surrounded by palm trees, warm breezes, and picture-perfect ocean views. Just a quick drive down the coast from the Cancun airport, you get there in about 20 minutes.
Staten Island Yankees Mascot Scooter
The Staten Island Yankees are a client of Mom Central Consulting and we received complimentary tickets to facilitate this post. Growing up, baseball was always a big part of my life. I would watch my favorite team on television with my parents and family members, cheering them on. When I got to be a bit older, we would go to games together to enjoy the excitement live. Part of the reason we didn’t do too many baseball excursions when I was a small child was the cost involved with Major League games, as well as the potential boredom a child feels during a nine-inning game.
Providence, RI
Mom Central received complimentary lodging. All opinions expressed are our own. Even in the summer, every day seems busier than the last, and we rarely get the time to think about vacations, much less actually take them. So when the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Rhode Island invited Mom Central to come to Providence, I welcomed the break. The close proximity to Boston makes Providence an attractive getaway option. Without needing a car, you can get to Providence directly from Boston courtesy of the MBTA, arriving in a little over an hour. With amazing nightlife, delicious food, and activities for the entire family, my boyfriend and I experienced a weekend of pure fun and relaxation.
Sturdi Tent Dog Tent
Mom Central received complimentary products from Petco in order to facilitate this review. All of the opinions expressed here are our own. Summertime has arrived, and we yearn to finally venture outside on hiking trips, camping excursions, or even just to bask in the sunshine on our patio. And it becomes an even better experience when we can also spend some quality time with our favorite furry friends. With Petco’s line of summer gear our dogs become our best outdoor companions – joining us in all of our favorite adventures. Now, summer essentials include collapsible water bowls, portable dog tents, chew toys, and comfy blankets so that the entire family – pups included – has everything it needs to make this an incredible summer outdoors.
Beaches Turks & Caicos Villages & Spa
Mom Central was invited by Beaches Turks & Caicos to visit the resort and received complimentary airfare, lodging, meals, and activities. All opinions expressed here are our own. From the air you can see the most incredible blue waters. From the moment you land you feel like you are in paradise. Upon arrival you are whisked away to a vacation destination like no other – Beaches Turks & Caicos Villages & Spa. Beaches Resorts is known for their family friendly, all-inclusive vacations. What may not be known about Beaches Turks & Caicos is that it is on 94 acres of the most lush green grass, on the softest of beaches, overlooking the most incredible blue waters you could ever imagine. This resort is so classy and sophisticated it caters to both adults and kids alike. Beaches treats every guest as if they were a VIP. The quality of guest service is the best around. From the moment you enter the resort, throughout the day and into the night, the staff is eager to please.
Legoland Discovery Center in Somerville, MA
Mom Central was invited to a media event to cover the opening of Legoland Discovery Center. All opinions are our own. My four-year-old is a girly girl. Something about the insistence of tutus, tiaras and impromptu renditions of Frozen’s “Let It Go” in the supermarket aisles makes me scratch my head and wonder how she got this way. So when we were invited to go check out the new Legoland Discovery Center in Somerville, MA, I worried she might be bored. Sure, we play with Legos at home, but only the pink ones.
Mazda6
Mom Central received a Mazda Mazda6 for a week-long test drive in order to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed here are our own. When I moved to Chicago two and half years ago, I made the scary decision to give up my car. Not since I was 17 years old, had I lived without a mode of transportation at my fingertips. But, knowing I would rarely be within a few minutes walk to a train station or bus line made the decision relatively easy. And I haven’t looked back since! That is until this past November when I had the chance to test-drive a Mazda Mazda6 for a week. The team at STI warned me that I’d fall in love with the car, which was short listed for 2013 Motor Trend car of the year, but I had no idea how right they would be.
Beaches Negril Resort & Spa
Mom Central was invited by Sandals/Beaches to visit the resort and received complimentary airfare, lodging, meals, and activities. All opinions expressed here are our own. When I was invited to visit the all inclusive Beaches Negril Resort & Spa in Jamaica to celebrate the launch of the new costumes for Sesame Street characters – a Mardi Gras/Carnivale-type theme – I decided to bring my boys Jake (12 years old) and Josh (10 years old) along. Beaches Resorts has a special relationship with Sesame Street and the characters are the main focus of the resort. At first I was somewhat apprehensive about bringing my boys, afraid they were going to complain, thinking spending time with the Sesame Street Characters was going to be too “babyish” for them.
