In Hollywood, having babies means losing the ability to work, fit into designer clothes and have the undivided attention of casting agents and companies looking for a celebrity endorsement. It's no surprise that a celebrity mom's number one goal, after delivering a healthy, happy baby, is to shed the pregnancy weight as fast as possible. And then some. And continue to remain thin - because as they well know, celebrity mothers must look sexy in order to make up for the lack of sexiness associated with motherhood.
Too bad the public doesn't get a say - like, "Hey Teri, we think you would look way sexier if you put on a few pounds." Victoria Beckham could certainly use an intervention as well - who told her that exposing every inch of taut, stretched-across-muscle skin is attractive? She would be far more sexy if she took a page out of Kate Beckinsale's book and chose to eat and exercise wisely, looking fit, healthy and incredibly beautiful walking around L.A. with her six-year-old daughter.

Nick Carter, member of the boy band the Backstreet Boys and younger brother and equally popular teen idol and pop singer, Aaron Carter, recently got into a fist fight in their L.A. home. While cameras were rolling.
In a shrewd PR move, the brothers admitted to having a physical squabble that ended in a few bruises but no hard feelings. Aaron assured People magazine that the fight, which was broken up by a cameraman, will be featured on the Carters impending E! reality show, House of Carters. The show, which debuts in October, stars the two more famous boys and their lesser known sisters Angel (an aspiring model), Bobbie Jean (an aspiring chef) and Leslie (a former one-hit wonder and aspiring singing success).

Many celebrities like Tori Spelling, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Anniston have decided that their lives are much more satisfying without Mom or Dad in it. Take Tori Spelling (image at left) for example. Daughter of recently deceased TV legend Aaron Spelling, Tori and father were not on speaking terms up until right before his death last month. While the two reportedly reconciled, Tori remains estranged from her mother, Candy Spelling. Rumors have it that Tori remains angry at mom for spending time with another man during her father’s last days. The feud has become overheated as of late, with Tori insinuating that her mother did not inform her immediately of her father’s death before letting it go public, and Candy issuing a statement about Tori’s “mean-spirited” comments which caused a media frenzy during their time of loss and grief. The Spellings’ estrangement goes beyond simply living and ignoring one another, but uses the media as a way to directly hurt one another. Such a negative relationship is disheartening for any mother to think about, much less see played out in action around a loved one’s death.

As millions of fans watched around the world yesterday one of France’s most renowned players did something no one expected. He headbutted an opposing player (pictured here after the offense against Marco Materazzi).
What?!? I have a daughter and son who play high level soccer and a husband and son who watched the FIFA World Cup as much as the next soccer obsessed American, but head butting? Zinedine Zidane just turned 34 years old and recently announced that he is going to be retiring from soccer (football to the rest of the world) after this World Cup. He is one of the best midfielders to ever play the game with elegant dribbling, balance, passing ability, and one of the best penalty shots in the game. He was the first to score in the World Cup final match in the early minutes of the game off of a penalty kick. Zinedine has also won acclaim for using his head in a more smartly. He received international attention when he headed two goals in the 1998 world cup game against Brazil, where France went on to win the title. It was the first ever World Cup victory for France.

More on the countdown to the first sighting of Suri Cruise (TomKat's Scientology Approved Production).
Well, the latest issue of US Magazine claims that Suri has in fact, been seen - although not by the prying paparazzi.
According to US Weekly, Katie Holmes was seen out and about in Telluride, Ohio where she is hunkered down with Suri and Tom for the time being. Katie told US that "Suri is doing great!" and a number of locals concur, saying that they have in fact seen the child. According to the townspeople, Suri has "dark, thick hair," "big eyes" and is "funny looking." Interesting. As in birth defect? What does interesting mean?

Here's an incredible birth story. Twin boys were born two months apart.
The first born was delivered early due to an infection in the mother's womb while the second twin boy was delivered two months later, this past Friday night. Adam and Jayson have been dubbed "The Miracle Twins" by hospital workers who saw the boys. The parents are understandably relieved and ecstatic. Can you imagine giving birth twice in two month's time?! All I can think is that these boys are going to love being twins but still getting to celebrate their birthdays on two different days! And mom and dad won't have to scramble to buy presents for two at the same time! Sometimes life is simply stranger than fiction: what a story! Image from abroad

Kate Bosworth is a talented, beautiful, dynamic, and thin celebrity. As in super-thin. As in anorexic.
I remember seeing her in Blue Crush in 2002, playing an aspiring surf star and girl athlete extraordinaire, and thinking how healthy and gorgeous she was and what an incredible role model she would be for young girls. Fast track to 2006's super summer hit Superman Returns and this fit and fabulous body is replaced by a waifish shell as lead female Lois Lane. How dramatically sad to see a young actress with naturally beautiful features take her body from a toned, amazing physique (as pictured then in 2002) to a skeletal one (pictured today). Kate's clavicle protrudes, her chest caves in - she is emaciated.

Ever find yourself wondering what Britney’s Sean Preston or Gwynnie’s Apple or Superbaby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt will be like when they grow up?
Can’t wait? Just take a look at the batch of all-grown-up celebrity kids that are already out there, roaming the streets of Hollywood… There’s the more obvious mom-and-dad-footstep-following former celebrity kids like Kate Hudson who has become an A-list actress just like her mom Goldie Hawn. Kelly Osbourne joined the ranks of platinum-selling success along with her father Ozzy Osbourne. Nicole Richie is a reality star and tabloid darling thanks in part to her connection to former singing superstar dad Lionel Richie. Liv Tyler and Stella McCartney have been photographed wearing “Rock Royalty” t-shirts, acknowledging their rock star dads, Steven Tyler of the band Aerosmith and Sir Paul McCartney, respectively. Nowadays Liv is better known for her roles in films like “Armaggedon” and “The Lord of the Rings” whereas Stella has grown up to be a fashion mogul, creating clothing for her own line as well as the fashion house Chloe.

Ashlee Simpson, rising teen pop music star and little sister to Jessica Simpson, is now spokesmodel for Victoria's Secret new line of teen-targeted underwear, Pink by Victoria's Secret. In fact, Ashlee beat out Kelly Clarkson as the top choice for the new line's celebrity endorser. Could it be because she's looking different lately? The answer is unfortunately, definitively yes.
Ashlee had her nose completely redone recently and had possibly a chin touchup as well. Plastic surgery aside, Jessica's younger sister has also lost considerable weight since working on her first album and has shed her former punky dark roots for extension-length blonde waves.

When I am 60, I am hoping that my children have careers they love and are starting families of their own.
Not the case for 59-year-old Lauren Cohen of New Jersey as her twins Giselle and Gregory were just born May 22. To a 59-year-old? Is there something I missed about the timing of menopause? At an age when most people are becoming grandparents, Lauren is going in the record books as being the oldest woman to ever give birth in America. She says she was inspired to go through with having the twins because her husband, who is twenty years younger than her, wanted children and she didn’t want to leave him childless. She, however, never even discussed the matter of children before their marriage. Her husband is surprised, thrilled, and delighted.
