recyclineBy Caryn at Rockin' Mama

We at Mom Central recently had the opportunity to talk to some bloggers about Recycline, a fantastic company that's working to protect our environment. Caryn is the newest addition to our B.O.M.B. blog because she's a Mom who is doing the same thing! Her blog is both informative and inspiring, and it's clear she values green living. Thanks for the information and the great blog, Caryn!

Have you ever thought about where all of the plastic in the world ends up? There was a time when I threw away anything and everything, not once paying attention to that little recycling symbol. Read this and you may want to rethink the next plastic anything you throw away.

Plastic is used in more products than you are probably even aware of because it is inexpensive, durable, and practically limitless in it’s varied usage. According to the Energy Information Administration, disposed plastics occupy 25% of landfill space and may take over 1 million years to disappear once buried. Couple that with Americans’ low rates of recycling and you’ve got this to deal with!

Recent reports on the danger of plastics has had me re-examine the amount and type of plastics I use. Hats off to Recycline’s new line of Preserve products derived from 100% BPA and phthalate-free recycled plastics. Of course the entire line is recyclable, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly.
