Cooking with the NuWave Oven

Friday, December 23, 2011 - 4:07pm

On days filled with everything from volunteer projects to basketball and swim practice to parent-teacher conferences, cooking a quick meal often seems too time-consuming for many Moms. Even waiting to preheat the oven can feel like an eternity – particularly when cooking a small side dish.

The NuWave Pro Infrared Oven offers a simple solution – and in the process – seemingly adds some much-needed time back into our busy schedules. Through a combination of conduction, convection, and infrared cooking, the NuWave Oven eliminates the need to preheat cooking temperatures and reduces cooking time compared to conventional ovens.

From pizza to meats to seafood to pastries, NuWave can handle a wide variety of cuisine, and the food comes out moist and delicious using less heat and energy than a typical oven. (It also comes with a cookbook that contains hundreds of recipe possibilities!) Each oven piece can be washed separately or put in the dishwasher, making clean up a breeze.

We also found the NuWave Oven easy to operate. Using the digital display, we just set the timer, hit “start,” and the oven immediately began cooking.  Even frozen food can be placed in the NuWave Oven without first thawing.

As the holidays wind into the New Year, the NuWave Pro Infrared Oven proves a timely and tasty addition to our kitchen line-up.

Disclosure: Mom Central received a sample of the NuWave Infrared Oven to facilitate this review.
