About the party:
January is National Birth Defects Prevention Month and the Grain Foods Foundation has teamed up with the Spina Bifida Association to remind all women of child-bearing age the important role folic acid plays in a healthy diet. Folic acid consumption is critical for the prevention of neural tube birth defects and is found in enriched grains such as white bread, pasta and cereal. Enriched grains have also been shown to help maintain a healthy weight. The Grain Foods Foundation is dedicated to increasing the knowledge and awareness around this important matter.
