Once summer comes around, my family’s schedule fills up quickly with trips to the beach, barbeques and vacations. Like many families, we also experience lulls with nothing planned that send us on a search for some relaxing summer fun. Finding something that will interest everyone creates a challenge during these moments of downtime. The 3M Mobile Projector quickly became our go-to entertainment gadget exciting both my movie enthusiast kids and tech savvy husband.

The projector found a permanent place in our summer movie-night tradition. This device upgraded our normal routine to an entirely new drive-in experience. We set up the projector in our backyard and began watching movies straight from my iPad. With the ability to project directly onto our home and make the screen as big as we wanted, the drive-in theatres from my childhood memories came to life for the enjoyment of my family.

When we started brainstorming other fun ways to use the portable projector, we couldn’t stop. From slideshows of family photos and vacations to projecting movies and videos at slumber parties, family camping trips, and date nights, this projector continues to keep my family intrigued with its seemingly endless functionality. Not only does the device allow us to watch movies from Netflix and Itunes, but it also brings home videos from our Apple devices to the big screen.

With my busy schedule, I often forget to transfer pictures and video clips from my iPhone. Now I simply pull out my projector at gatherings and show friends and family the pictures previously hidden in my phone’s memory.  Beyond my personal life, it also suits up into a wonderful presentation partner when I travel around the country for business. From backyard drive-ins to business presentations, the 3M Mobile Projector adds a splash of high-tech entertainment and fun to any lifestyle.

Disclosure: 3M is a current client of Mom Central Consulting. Mom Central received a Mobile Projector courtesy of 3M to facilitate this review.

The problem with this is that

The problem with this is that I bought two but had to return them. They would not power up. Then I come to find out that no matter what logic there is, to have a BIG picture to share with people, the sound will come out from the stupid cheap speakers. And I was told at the store that the earphone jack is only for headphones and will not work with speakers (real speakers) so it's really a waste of money. Thanks for this though. I hope the manufacturers of these things realize they shoot themselves in the foot when they rush to put these things out without common sense behind it.

Seriously, you are gonna watch Pirates of the Caribbean on the big wall projected like a drive in and then use silly speaker from the projector? Oh, I suppose outdoors you better have your ear right next to that projector considering crickets tend to create their own audio.
;)

You really can update your website to make it nicer and more attractive. Just like the commenter wrote but I don't agree on anything else he said, I don't even know you.

Have a nice day. Find apps for this too...I will come back see what you found. I have an interest in mobile projectors for mobile films.
