Awe-Inspiring Archipelago Candles: Luxuriating in the Glow of Elegance
Like most women, I strive to keep a fair number of balls in the air – Mom to two busy teens, wife, business owner, spokesperson, blogger, friend, mentor, and more. I’ve also found that as my business grows and my daughter and son gain more independence – one’s in college, the other begins next year – I now keep an almost breakneck travel schedule, with cross-country media tours, industry conferences and speaking gigs, and international meetings and events.
After a while, this hectic pace takes a toll, and it becomes harder to bounce back and get my bearings after a particularly grueling spate of travel. I’ve discovered over the past few months, however, that if I’m to keep up this frenetic schedule, I need to take care of myself – which means I need to keep up my twice-weekly sessions with my trainer, eat healthy foods, get enough sleep, and listen to my body if I need to cut back and get even more rest.
I’ve also tried to remember to make time for what’s important to me and have lunch with friends, spend weekends in my garden, and cherish my time at home. Recently, while traveling on business, I came across a wonderful product that reminds me of the beauty of these simple pleasures – Archipelago Candles.
I first encountered the pineapple ginger candle at the Ritz-Carlton in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and I marveled at the strong, yet delicate, scent and the fact that it would last for an astounding 60 hours. Made of soy, these candles exhibit a soothing, luxurious feel that seems to almost envelope you in relaxation and comfort. Since then, I’ve bought several more Archipelago Candles, and particularly loved placing one at my bedside and having the scent waft over me while I burrow into my covers each night. I now even keep a candle – with the incredible scent of mango tangerine – in my office, so I can experience the gentle fragrance as meetings and phone calls cascade through my day.
Archipelago offers several lines of candles with a variety of lovely containers and holders – each one unique, elegant, and refined. For me, having my home feature the wondrous scents of pink grapefruit, lavender spice, and jasmine hibiscus, allows me to experience new levels of soothing relaxation as I recharge and rejuvenate for my next adventure.
I also love seeing Archipelago’s expansion with its newest line, the Cabana Collection. These soy blend candles deliver the fresh, fruit-filled scents of the islands with such fragrances as Aruba, Antigua, and Bermuda. The bright colored, foil patterned containers add a burst of color to my kitchen counter and living room tables. When I want a more formal look, I simply slip off the colorful container to access the more classic look of my versatile candles.
While I love my whirlwind life and wouldn’t trade it for anything, I also love knowing that whether I’m on the road or at home, these luxurious scents will be with me – adding a soothing sense of peace into another busy day.
