Elmer’s Helps Capture First Day Moments with a New App
With first days of school just around the corner, getting kids prepared to meet teachers and tackle new subjects is at the top of most Moms’ minds. And as we rush to prepare for the big day, we also want to take a step back so we can remember that special moment when kids head out, lunches in hand and backpacks filled with freshly sharpened pencils and blank notebooks.
This year, Elmer’s wants to help us capture these once-a-year moments with their new “1st Day” photo-sharing app and website at the1stday.com. Elmer’s – a brand that has long known the importance of creative childhood moments – developed the app to help parents spotlight and share the excitement families have on kids’ first days of school.
Through the app itself you take and share photos that then can be categorized into albums. The Elmer’s 1st Day website let’s you get more creative with these photos. Once you create a personal account on the1stday.com, you can sync your first day images and albums onto your computer, and then create unique slideshows, add colorful borders and share galleries via email and on Facebook.
We especially love the idea of using the app year after year to capture first-day moments. With Elmer’s help, Moms can store all their first day photos in one place, and then watch as kids progress from preschool to elementary and beyond.
And, if you need more incentive to check it out, Elmer’s has committed to donating one product for each photo upload (up to 200,000 uploads) to the Kids In Need Foundation, an organization that provides free school supplies to students in need.
The FREE Elmer’s 1st Day app can be downloaded in the iTunes or Goggle Play stores or by scanning the QR code found on select Elmer’s glue bottles and in-store displays.
