The new trend in Hollywood seems to be babies. And more babies. In fact, just about everyone seems to be expecting, welcoming, or dreaming about babies. With celebrity magazines such as In Touch conducting "Bump Watches" and more and more celebrities announcing their desire for children, motherhood is becoming a celebrity craze.

While it's certainly admirable that so many stars want to take time out of their busy lives to raise little ones, it's a bit concerning as well. I wish we could ask a few of these celebrity moms to sign an oath that they are going to find the time between their movie making, promotional touring, dieting, exercising, publicity jaunts, and club hopping to give children the attention they need.

Some celeb moms have simply stopped working the full time schedule they maintained prior to motherhood. Take Britney Spears for example. No longer performing the late nights, she is at home with her son Sean Preston, born in 2005 and soon to be second child. However, despite the amount of time Britney may devote to her son, the press she has received does not make her out to be the perfect parent.

So perhaps we should look to celeb parents who continue to work, but also manage to take the time to raise their kids. Kate Hudson for example, has been busy this past year. She has spent the past months filming the movie "You, Me, & Dupree" and traveling the country to promote it. However this has not stopped her from being the best mommy she can be, bringing 2-year-old son Ryder on the set with her and spending her free time with him. She also managed to fly to Cabo San Lucas for her brother's June wedding, where she walked little ringbearer Ryder down the aisle. Leading the busy life of a working celebrity mom has not stopped Kate from wanting to have more children. She told People magazine that someday in the future she would love to have twins.

Not only have celebrity moms found time to work and play with their children, but brand-new celebrity dad Brad Pitt has also joined in the frenzy of working parents. Brad, the father of three children with actress Angelina Jolie, has been embracing the joys of parenthood. Brad says that raising children has influenced his outlook on life. He told People magazine that "you feel you want to be there and not miss out on anything. It's a true joy (and) a very profound love. You can write a book, you can make a movie, you can paint a painting, but having kids is the most extraordinary thing I've ever taken on." Such an outlook seems to have influenced Brad's work as well. He has joined Angelina by taking on humanitarian causes. He recently spent a week in New Orleans, talking to community leaders about Global Green USA, which aims to provide housing which is eco-friendly and affordable.

For any parent, working full-time while simultaneously raising children can be exhausting and difficult.  Being constantly in the spotlight probably makes it that much harder! But it's reassuring to see that many celebs, although still busy working, are making these babies their #1 priority.
