Kurland’s book contains the experiences of 75 couples who have been married for 50 years or more. Each individual story includes brief information about how the couple met and when they were married, photos from their early days as well as recent pictures, and the couple’s own advice on what makes a marriage last for so many decades. In most cases, both husband and wife gave their own, separate responses to this question; others preferred to answer together. Either way, the book is a heartfelt account of values and love that are too often lacking in relationships today. Like asking your grandparents for advice on marriage, the love and wisdom contained in this book is comforting, moving and inspiring all at once.
