The Seaport Hotel in Boston offers family-friendly features and accommodations.
As parents we know how valuable sitting down to eat as a family can be. Whether that be Sunday dinners or pizza take-out on Fridays, family dinners prove to be an important tradition to start with your children. Eating together allows you a chance to catch up on each other’s day and instill proper table manners and eating habits.
Eating out at a restaurant as a family can also be a special treat, as it can save Mom time cooking and cleaning in the kitchen, and have someone else take her order for a change! Finding the right restaurant that combines delicious food with a family-friendly environment can be quite the challenge, though.
The Seaport Hotel in Boston recognized this challenge and put together a series of family friendly dinners and events for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you are a Boston local or an out-of-town traveler, Aura Restaurant takes eating out as a family to a whole new level. Every Friday, Aura invites families in for “Fine Dining Family Style”. FDFS features early reservations, kid-friendly meals, fine dining options for parents and a dedicated play space full of toys, games and movies. Your kids can run around and play while waiting for dinner to arrive, while you sit back, relax and not worry about them making too much noise! And during certain times of the year, families will be treated to special guests and entertainment while they eat.
A Mom Central staffer recently attended the Seaport Hotel’s special “Halloween Night,” which featured trick-or-treating, face painting, a special “creepy” themed menu for the kids, and a delicious 3-course meal from Aura’s fine dining selections for Mom and Dad. Everyone enjoyed their meals, especially 1-year old Brooke, who was able to play off all that energy (and her sugar high from trick-or-treating) after dinner!
The Seaport Hotel offers special “Family Fridays” packages year-round featuring dinner for four at “Fine Dining Family Style,” deluxe overnight accommodations, use of the health club/pool, passes for four to the Boston Children’s Museum, complimentary valet parking and a toy for each child from the Seaport’s Treasure Chest. Sounds like the perfect weekend getaway to us!
