Yesterday was supposed to be the "first day" but "hurricane fay" altered plans. So, today was the first day. We didn't get to meet the teacher. Ryan and I walked Morgan to her class, she had to see her "old" teacher first. Many teachers recognized Ryan from previous years and Morgan too from last year. Her favorite patrol came up and gave her a hug, it was so cute. I walked her in class and met the teacher, she said she was really excited to get Morgan, I wasn't sure why (Maybe they get extra pay for kids like her- JK) she seemed like a really nice teacher. I met a child that sat at the same table and introduced Morgan to her.
Morgan is kinda in her own world, I think she would be perfectly happy if no one talked to her or bothered her. She said "hi" but didn't really show any interest other than that. I have seen her play and interact with older children, but not much with the kids her own age. Anyhow she said she had a good day.
Our first day was Monday and then Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday school has been cancelled due to Fay and we are not sure if they will cancel Friday or not!

She just started 1st grade, she made the cutoff by 4 days. She is the youngest in her class, but she was prepared and did well in kindergarden last year she was ahead of the class on her academic tests.
Ryan starts on Monday.
