Has he been diagnosed with asthma? I was diagnosed as an adult, but never had problems as a child. Children usually "outgrow" it, but that does not help him now. I hope he is better soon and winter is not as bad as you expect. We have had colds since we moved here. Fortunately, it has not been that bad, but it gets old. Get well!
No, they haven't given him the "official Asthma diagnosis" they say it is bronchiolitis & we are hoping he will outgrow it. I'm sure if he hasn't in another year or so they will diagnose him asthma.
He really hates the neb treatments, last winter he was young enough to kinda roll with it now as soon as he sees the machine come out he starts crying yelling "NO...NO...Mimi (yes he calls me mimi) NO!" Then I have to hold him in like a huge bear hug with my legs & arms around him, sometimes I have to wrap him tight in a blanket to keep him from hitting me, the mask, etc. It's awful & right now we do 2 treatments in the am then 1 every 4 hours (so like 2 more times during the day) then 2 treatments at night (he gets 2 different meds am & pm). It really sucks. I feel so bad for him, but I know it's making him feel better. We are keeping him on a maintenance neb treatment once a day after this is all over so hopefully he won't get so bad at the next cold.
