10985236_955739331127426_2876146839343517404_nWe’re pleased to see that many Americans are looking to find ways to live longer, healthier lives through health and lifestyle changes. From integrating wearable technology to monitor our activity to closely watching the types of food we eat and amount of water we consume, tracking our health is more popular and accessible than ever. In the spirit of this trend, John Hancock and Vitality have teamed up to reward consumers who lead healthy lifestyles.

We recently attended the John Hancock Vitality Village event at NYC’s Grand Central Station, where we learned about the new products available from John Hancock and Vitality, and were inspired by some healthy lifestyle options such as green juice recipes and fitness workout ideas! Spokesperson Chris O’Donnell, a father of five who knows the benefit of getting your health and wealth in good shape, was on-hand to launch the village and share some of his own positive habits that keep him and his family active now and healthy in the long term.

The products available from John Hancock and Vitality seamlessly merge Americans’ love for healthy living and their desires to protect their families, with the latest technological advancements and behavioral economics to drive positive outcomes. These new life insurance products were developed through an exclusive partnership with Vitality, the global leader in integrating wellness benefits with life insurance products.

Each year, policyholders can earn Vitality Points for the everyday things they do to stay healthy, such as exercising, getting annual physicals and health screenings, dental visits, getting flu shots, participating in athletic events, and staying tobacco-free. These Vitality Points can lead to some big savings – as much as 15 percent off their annual life insurance premium – over the years. The higher their Vitality Status, the more they can earn in potential savings and rewards.

New policyholders will receive a free Fitbit to help track their progress! Additionally, policyholders can earn travel, shopping and entertainment-related rewards and discounts from companies including Hyatt, Fandango, Starbucks, REI, iTunes and more.
