Especially when your child is young, organize play dates with other mothers and children who you know well, either from the neighborhood, school, or daycare. What are some great playdates you have had? Any good ideas on how to entertain kids?

How to Start a Playgroup 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0  
I really want to start a playdate group here. I do not have any friends let alone any with babies. Has anyone out there started a "Mommy & Me" type group? If so, where do you meet? My house is really small so it would be hard to have people come over here. Any advice would be great. (or do I need to post this in Everything Else?)
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

Most people post in everything else....but some of us read the other forums. You should go to everything else & introduce yourself though!

I found a Mom's group by going to www.meetup.com it's a great place to see if there is already a mom's group in your area....if not it tells you how to start one & how many others in your area are interested in one.
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

I have a group through meetup.com and the mommie network. I have been thinking about starting a playgroup in my neighborhood but i'mn trying to get into school so i wont have time. Also we move a lot so i would start it then have to leave
