HELP!! 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I started potty training my 2 year old daughter about a week ago. I just bypassed pull ups and went straight to panties. She does really well most of the time when she needs to pee but poop....well thats another story. I cannot seem to get her to go in her potty. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm verrry sorry that I don' thave much to tell you. My son did the same thing.. he was sooo scared to do them on the toilet.. What finally worked for us was rewards.. I bought my son some trucks that when he did a poo on the toilet he would get one.. I hope you figure out what would work for you!

Pooping on the toilet seems to be a common problem. I've been training my daughter since February and she just this past week and half has pooped on the toilet. She's only done it twice though and both times I had been watching her really closely for clues that she was about to go. Then I offered her a treat for going on the toilet. She doesn't seem to mind going on the toilet so I'm not really sure why she just doesn't go, but she won't. Hopefully you've noticed a pattern when she is about to go that you can grab her really quick and pop her on the toilet. Lauren always goes to the same spot and is really quiet so that is how I know she is going or about to go.

Good luck! Potty training is hard.

I really wish I had some advice, but I am in the same position. Ashley is Pee Pee trained but will not poop on the potty & she is 2 1/2! We are in pull-ups now because I got tired of cleaning poopy panties or just throwing them out because they were beyond cleaning. I have bought special "poopy toys" that she will get when she poops in the potty, I have tried watching her an putting her on the potty when it seems she needs to poop.....only to have her hold it until she goes to bed at night then 20min. later...Mom, I pooped in my underwear. I am very frustrated and don't know where to go or what to do to get her to poop in the potty, sorry I can't offer some advice, but I can offer support!

Lia has a hard time pooping on the big toilet, she needs to have her feet on the ground to poop. i think its the squat pose that helps them poop. Lia has been trained for a good while now but will never poop on a big toilet.
so try a small floor potty and see if it helps any?
