pooping in the potty 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 5
ok, Ashley has been doing great going pee pee in the potty. She will let me know when she has to go even if we are out she will go potty. My problem is pooping. That child WILL NOT poop on the potty! I even went out & bought her a bucket of poopy prizes (moon sand, puzzles, books, etc) for when she poops on the potty & that's not working!! She just poops in her big girl pants, then says Mommy poopy in big girl pants! Most of the time she is standing right in front of me!!! She doesn't even hide so I don't know she's going until she stinks or says something. How do I get her to poop on the potty?

I need help with this one too. Hopefully someone has some advice. I recently started telling Lauren that if she goes poop on the toilet that I will give her one of those big marshmallows. So far that has not worked. It is funny too because the last two times I have left her with someone to watch her while I went out I explained to her that if she needs to poop she has to tell so & so to put her on the toilet. Both times she held her poop in until we got back home. Normally she poops in the morning, but she won't poop at their house because I think she is embarrassed.

Hopefully someone has some good advice on this. The only thing I've ever heard is to put them on the toilet at the time of day they normally go. Lauren goes anytime between 8:30 and noon so I can't exactly sit her on the toilet for four hours.

I wish I had some advice but i think madeline did that for about 2 weeks then she got the hang of it. She will still do it sometimes but she is big on holding her poop in and if she does she just doesnt go that day. She wont go on the potty unless she wants to so if she has to poop and doesnt want to all she has to do is hold it in for like 5 min and she is good for the day. Def not healthy

I don't know what to tell you either because Owen did the same thing.. so I quit potty training him.He was about 2.5, he was fully pee trained but REFUSED to do poop on the toilet. So I stopped. Then just before his 3rd birthday he started to do it all by himself.
