My son is now 18 months old and i was thinking of starting him because the new baby will be here in a few weeks it will be easier not to have him in diapers that much longer if i can thanks for all your responses!!!

Just watch out bc i have heard horror stories abotu people pushing their kids before they are ready. You can try now but if he isnt ready dont push it. I know buying diapers for 2 is a pain but you may find waiting a little longer is the best thing. I got madeline a potty seat a few months before bay was born but she was scared of it. She was trained at about 2 and half when bay was 6 months old.
