It’s a well-known fact that babies get into everything. When my son, Brooks, was little, he would find the most inane places around the house to get into trouble. My biggest fear was always the electric outlets. His fingers were so small and he was so curious, I was constantly alert anytime he came anywhere near a wall. Now, Safety Caps have arrived to keep mothers everywhere worry-free (when it comes to wall outlets!).

Around my house there have to be at least a dozen half-started, unfinished, or untouched home repairs that are in dire need of attention. Unfortunately, shuttling my kids around and dealing with my own busy schedule proves to be a roadblock when it comes to getting these things done. Not to mention the difficulty of expensive and inefficient household tools. Which is why it’s such great news that GE has engineered a new and simple way to get all of the caulking chores in your house done in a clean and timely fashion. Caulk Singles are single-use packages of caulk that are as easy to use as they are effective.

It can be a battle to get kids to stay hydrated during the summer, even though now, as temperatures rise, it becomes especially vital. Water is too bland for many kids, while juice is just not an option since it’s loaded with sugar. Yet kids need something to drink as they run around everywhere from the playground to the pool. Hansen’s, one of our favorite healthy beverage companies, has solved the problem with Junior Water, an organic, flavored water drink with just a splash of juice for flavor.

As much fun as a family trip sounds, moms who have tried to plan and orchestrate one know that sometimes, when it’s all over, you need a vacation from your vacation. Luckily, The Practical Mom’s Disney Vacation Companion changes that. Unlike traditional guides for planning a Disney vacation which focus mostly on what to see and how to get around (and, admittedly, there are countless), this book gives moms a comprehensive look at everything that matters most to them.

Moms know that all kids love hands-on play kits, complete with crafts that they can build, create, and decorate. Well, Martian Matter Alien Maker is one of the most distinctive ones to come along in awhile. Martian Matter is the perfect mix of creativity and fun, and with all sorts of alien-making components, such as Lunar Lava and Meteor Mud, kids can mix and match the different molds to create their own unique and colorful aliens. No heat or electricity is required and the Martians are easy to make, as all the materials are ready to go when you open the box.

Today people stay constantly connected. Cell phones aren’t just for work or the car, and blackberry use runs rampant everywhere from the playground to the beach house. So with many states issuing “hands-free” laws for driving with cell phones, it’s not surprising that the popularity of Blue Tooth earpieces has skyrocketed. The new headset from Jawbone is especially amazing. We all love smart appliances, and the Jawbone proves itself by differentiating between your personal speech and outside noises, using its military grade NoiseAssassin technology to block out all external sound.
