Mobile Mom

On-the-go Mom is a phrase that describes the life of millions of women so well that it has essentially become redundant.

oceloNo one would argue that cleaning up isn’t a large part of any mom’s day. From laundry and vacuuming to dusting and dishes, it seems like there’s always something to be done. Lucky for us, O-Cel-O can make at least some of that work easier. I recently received a number of O-Cel-O Expressions sponges, and although I had never before thought of a sponge as decoration, I was immediately drawn to the colorful and playful designs. But the uniqueness of these sponges didn’t end there.

venturiI have no doubt that the people who created the new Venturi Mini had on-the-go Moms in mind. This new device, which plugs easily into your 12 volt adapter, not only streams music from your mp3 player into your car’s stereo system using Stereo Bluetooth, but it takes hands-free phoning to a whole new level. When you receive a call, the caller’s information will appear on your radio screen and your music will be paused. You can then hear the caller out loud directly through your stereo system – and the sound quality is surprisingly clear, with noise canceling technology that makes it possible to hold a conversation without a headset.

pearl
As much as I love checking out new products, I had to let my husband Ron get in on the fun. The result? A review from Tech Dad Central:

As a former old-school BlackBerry user, I was excited and concerned when I first picked up the Pearl. I loved the slim, compact design of the Pearl as compared to the full-sized keyboard on my BlackBerry. But at the same time I was concerned that this abbreviated keyboard would be more of a hindrance than anything. So before I made any decisions, I set a few goals:

1) Set-up and use the Pearl without opening the manual.
2) Connect to both my home and work email accounts successfully.
3) Synchronize the Pearl with all of my contact info. This has been a quest for me over the last month, as I am now using a synchronization service (Plaxo) provided by Comcast in order to synch up my  address book across my work Windows laptop and my home Windows Mac desktop.  Would adding the Pearl to the mix undo all of my efforts to have one comprehensive address book across all of these platforms?

Of course, my own path to discovery was determined by what I needed to accomplish and not any specified set-up process, so your own experience  might vary greatly. But I can fill you in on what I discovered.

littlebits

Little Bits by Monica Rodgers is a website dedicated to the modern parent - “sophisticated, discerning…hip, politically aware, socially and environmentally involved and highly dedicated to their children.”

The site provides a number of high-end products, including baby and child clothing, books, home décor, gifts, toys, car seat covers, bedding, and products for mom. From onesies with clever and cheeky slogans (who can resist an outfit featuring the word “pacifist” over a picture of a pacifier?) and luxury monogrammed crib sheets to Little Bits’ own attractive and durable car seat covers, every mom will find something to love on this site. Plus, with products that are natural, organic, or recycled, each purchase ensures that we’re all doing our own “little bit” to keep the environment healthy.

newjammiesLeave it to a former organic chemist to create a line of pajamas for children that is not only made from 100% organic cotton but also promotes healthy habits for kids. The pajamas themselves are soft, comfortable, and crafted with all-natural fibers, meaning that they keep both our children and the environment safe from harmful chemicals and toxins. What’s more, they promote healthy eating through their adorable produce-inspired prints. The line carries pajamas, onesies, blankets, and accessories all with adorable images of apples, bananas, oranges, blueberries, carrots, and peas. (It turns out there’s nothing cuter than a little kid in carrot pajamas!) The products are an attempt to promote greener and healthier eating habits, making teaching your kids about a healthy lifestyle both fun and adorable.

pommebebe

After checking out this new line, I have to say that the future of baby food has now arrived. Gourmet foodies are getting younger and younger every day, and with Pomme Bebe baby food, kids can now start refining their palates at as early as 6 months.

Pomme Bebe, founded by Svetla Lazarova Kibota, is a company committed to natural and healthy ingredients meant to promote a natural and healthy lifestyle, and everything about this company is unique. Pomme Bebe foods, which are available for purchase on
www.pommebebe.com (and are flash-frozen and come packaged in dry ice to ensure freshness) are also served at the bebe-bar and bebe lounge in Newport Beach, California, where you and your baby can hang out on brightly colored furniture and sample a selection of Pomme Bebe foods.

hunts

For over a century, Hunt’s has prided itself on providing fresh and natural products for families that make mealtime both simple and delicious – and now they can add dynamic to the list of benefits that make their tomatoes a staple for Moms.  The company recently introduced their new Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes (which come either with or without garlic). Like their other products, these tomatoes are all natural with no preservatives and “picked at the peak of ripeness.” This new line of tomatoes is especially unique, however, meant to give your dishes a gourmet flavor without the associated high-end price.

products

Clorox has spent several years developing their new natural cleaning projects, and the time has obviously been well spent. The result of all of their hard work is a product I truly love. The Green Works line of products, which are 99% natural, biodegradable, and not tested on animals, include bathroom, glass and surface, toilet bowl, and all-purpose cleaners.
