In this digital age, it's not surprising that young children are fascinated with the computer. As a Mom though, I know it can be difficult to find games for them that are safe, entertaining, and not overly challenging. Recently I found a game that was so enjoyable and clever that, although it said “6 and up” on the box, it would surely appeal to anyone ages 6 to 60.
The Tuttles: Madcap Misadventures offers so much in creativity and content that it is even difficult to choose the best parts. The game is based around the Tuttles’ planned family vacation to the Alamo. You can play as every member of the Tuttles family (Mom Barbara, Dad Barry, 15-year-old Jess, and 11-year-old Zach) as you travel through 40 different levels and six beautiful worlds. In addition to the numerous levels, the game includes side-splitting pages of animated storytelling, through which the player gets to know the lovable Tuttles. The animated scenes feature numerous familiar voices including Ashley Tisdale, William Shatner, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bob Saget, and Dominic Scott Kay. The best part, though, is that 50% of the net proceeds from the game will be contributed to the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, which makes it a game you can feel good about in more ways than one. It is no wonder then that this computer game is so critically acclaimed – or why you might even find yourself sneaking in some time with it while the kids are asleep! To learn more, visit the website
