satgameAs my teenage children (not to mention my husband and I) enter those tumultuous college preparation years, they find themselves staring the SAT’s squarely in the face. For many years, teens have believed that that, in order to study for this exam, they would simply need to hole up in their bedroom for weeks at a time with an SAT prep book weighing more than their entire backpacks. Thankfully, the “For Dummies” line has created an innovative game that makes studying much more fun. With the *SAT Game for Dummies, your budding Einsteins can experience a more engaging and enriching way to study for the SATs. My kids love that playing a game counteracts the monotony of studying. Also, with timed questions, it teachers the student to work at the test pace, and with the team play feature, it introduces kids to the problem-solving skills of their peers, allowing them to learn from each other as well. You can even play with your kids to gauge how prepared they are for the test. The game has over 500 questions, and comes complete with reading passage booklets, making it compatible with the actual SATs. The game functions basically like a classic board game, with each player moving to all areas of the board and answering questions along the way. I highly recommend this game to anyone whose child is struggling with studying for the SATs; it will make the process less stressful for him and for you. With all of the pressure put on students for this test, it shouldn’t be such a chore preparing for it. The *SAT Game for Dummies provides an easy way to play your way to a better score. This seems like a very engaging and fun way to prepare for the often dreaded and anxiety enducing SATs! I am going to buy this for my stepdaughter, who is going to be a junior this year. Thanks for the heads up!
