Hopefully, your family is prepared for your special day this weekend, but just in case they aren’t, we asked a few of the moms we know best how they’d like to spend Mother’s day. We thoughts we’d share their responses with you, perhaps to inspire, but more to confirm just how much we, as mothers, have in common.
“For mother's day I'd like to have an experience with my family. I'd love to have them plan to whisk me away for a surprise day at the beach with my adorable son, husband and dog, then for a fun picnic (that they prepared or thought of-or to stop at a low-key fish place).” – Barb Dehn, Women’s Health Expert
“Here's my Mother's Day wishlist: sleep in late, breakfast in bed, card picture or memorabilia gift made by kids, followed by a family outing. Pretty simple, eh?” – Dana Hilmer, “The Lifestyle Mom’
“I always want a little bit of everything so I've been doing the same thing for several years now: Breakfast in the morning with my kids, then the day to myself with my motherspa, lunch, shopping, basically connecting and having fun, followed by dinner with the family including my mom and dad (which my husband is in charge of cooking so it's ALWAYS bbq!)” -- Alison Rhodes, "The Safety Mom"
So, take some advice from the moms we know, a little quality time goes a long way on mother’s day, and a chance to sleep in doesn’t hurt either.

I would love to have my husband get up with the kids while I stay in bed, drink my Tea (while it's hot) and catch up on the stack of magazines I haven't had time to read!!! Then just a fun day with the whole family & dinner with my parents.
