What year did you start blogging? 2007

In addition to blogging and being a mother, what other jobs do you have?

That is all I have time for, oh yeah and don’t forget being a wife. Those three things are all encompassing and I couldn’t imagine what life would be like without them!

Why did you start your blog? I started blogging to keep my family updated on the kids and introduce them to our newest addition at the time, our new daughter Abby. Then I added complaining about how many piles of dirty laundry a family of five could produce.

What advice do you have for those starting out?

Be you, take your time and let your readers know who you are, don’t try to be someone else. Also, realize that blogging is hard work, if you put in the time you will succeed, sometimes beyond your wildest dreams!

Name a few challenges you see or have experienced in the blogosphere.

One of my biggest challenges has been to not let myself get bogged down with work so that it makes it impossible to live life. It is something I still struggle with on a daily basis.

Another challenge that I see a lot in the blogosphere is bloggers being taken advantage of, not being paid for their time or appreciated for their work. Only the blogger can change that for them but together we can change it for all of us.

What are your favorite and least favorite part(s) about blogging? My favorite has been connecting with the brands I love and meeting so many wonderful people, some who have become lifelong friends. My least favorite is the cattiness that is sometimes around the blogosphere.

What is the wackiest opportunity you have gotten since you started your blog?

I haven’t had anything that I would consider wacky at this point. I did have one product that I thought would never work but it did a darn good job and it was this finger snake that you put on your finger and extended down a drain to get hair out and unclog it. I was laughing at my husband while he was using it but he pulled up almost a whole head of hair from the drain!

What are your top three blogging tips?

  1. Be Yourself
  2. Don’t let yourself be taken advantage of
  3. Above all have fun!

What are you hoping will happen for you and your blog within the next year?

I am hoping to work with a few big companies on a more personal blogging basis for them, talk more about charity work that I have been and will be doing, something I wouldn’t have known I liked so much if it hadn’t been for my blogging platform and just relax and have fun with it.

We love link back love! Please tell us 2 or 3 blogs you love, their URLs, and twitter names.

Connie Roberts (@ConnieFoggles), who blogs at BrainFoggles.com and MyChronicLife.com is not only a sweet, caring friend but she is also a great advocate for health and wellness.

Valerie Gray (@valmg) from Mom Knows It All (Valmg.com) is another great blogger who has had her hands full with her multiple blogs and blogging projects. Good friend with a big heart.

Drew Bennett (@Benspark) who blogs at Benspark.com is the perfect mix of blogger, father and friend. I have enjoyed his product reviews, Photo-A-Day, and all around fun on his blog!

Thank you, Jennifer! We love working with you!

Jennifer is totally fabulous

Jennifer is totally fabulous and should be the VIP every week!! :)

Jennifer is certainly a VIP

Jennifer is certainly a VIP blogger! She's professional and writes each post in her own unique style. She's a wonderful mother, wife and friend. I'm honored that she mentioned me! With her move to Montana, our trips to Disney World are going to be a lot less fun without her and her family there to visit. I'm glad that she's continuing to blog and has even added her new blog, Montana Mom, so I can keep up with what's happening with her and her family.

Thank you for the mention

Thank you for the mention Jennifer! I am always happy to hear about you getting the recognition that you deserve. Our family certainly has enjoyed spending time with yours over the years, one of our favorite memories of our last trip to Disney was our dinner together at Boatwrights! I love how the girls got along and played so well together. It was also nice to sit and chat throughout dinner. Looking forward to the next time we cross paths on the blogging circuit.

Congrats Jennifer! Yours is
